TCA Peel Orange County Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) Chemical Peels
TRICHLOROACETIC ACID (TCA) CHEMICAL PEELS
Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) is used as an intermediate to deep peeling agent in concentrations ranging from 20-50%. Depth of penetration is increased as concentration increases, with 50% TCA penetrating into the reticular dermis. Concentrations higher than 35% are not recommended because of the high risk of scarring.
Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) chemical peels:
are preferred for darker-skinned patients over Phenol
smooth out fine surface wrinkles
remove superficial blemishes
correct skin pigment problems
Trichloroacetic Acid is the main ingredient used for medium chemical peels which penetrate the skin more deeply than superficial peels. Medium chemical peels are best for people who want to smooth out fine wrinkles, remove superficial blemishes, and even out skin pigmentation. Medium skin peels can be used on any part of the body, and the peel depth can be adjusted to best suit the needs of the individual patient.
After just one Trichloroacetic Acid chemical peel, overall skin tone and complexion will appear smooth, glowing and fresh. For more severe skin conditions such as Melasma, and Active Acne, a series of 2-3 treatments, applied once every 4 weeks, allow for optimal results.
