Newport Beach Gynecomastia Correction by Dr. Juris Bunkis of OC Plastic Surgery*

Procedure Details

This slightly overweight, 30 year old African American male presented to Dr. Juris Bunkis of Orange County Plastic Surgery in Newport Beach, California for correction of his gynecomastia. His main concern was embarrassment when playing basketball in "skins and shirts" games. He had a firm, tender nodule beneath each areolus. Such a firm nodule cannot be removed with liposuction and Dr. Bunkis performed an open resection of the nodules through an incision around the bottom of each areolus. He was ecstatic with his results and has referred many friends to the practice.

This African American male in his early 30's was embarrased by his "B Cup" breast size and told us he was embarrased to go the the beach or to take his shirt off while planing "skins and shirts" basketball games.   He had a firm nodule the size of a small lemon in each breast.    Because of the firmness of the tissue, liposuction was not an option and Dr. Bunkis of Orange County Plastic Surgery in Newport Beach performed an excisional removal of his excess breast tissue.   The patient was very pleased with his result and refers patients to Orange County Plastic Surgery to this day.
