Whether you committed to self-care, fitness, or finally taking steps toward enhancing your appearance, the end of the year gives us one last chance to make those goals a reality.

October offers a fresh perspective—an opportunity to reflect and realign. Just as the leaves fall and nature transitions, so can we. This is the perfect time to refocus and ensure we finish the year strong. It is easy to lose track of our goals with the busyness of life, but now is an ideal moment to regain momentum.

Now could be the perfect time to prepare for the New Year with a refreshed sense of confidence.

At our practice, we are here to help you take that next step. Whether it is a consultation to explore your options or scheduling a procedure before the holiday season, we are committed to helping you achieve your goals and start the new year feeling your best.

Spotlight on Plastic Surgery - The Latest Trends in Facial Rejuvenation

By Dr. Juris Bunkis

Facial rejuvenation continues to evolve, offering more refined techniques and a variety of options for those looking to refresh their appearance. With recent advances, achieving natural, long-lasting results is now more accessible than ever. Let’s explore some of the latest trends and how they can enhance your overall rejuvenation.

Facelifts: Time-Tested with Modern Techniques
Facelifts remain one of the most effective procedures for addressing signs of aging, such as sagging skin and underlying muscles. Today’s facelifts focus on achieving a more natural look by repositioning deeper tissues, rather than just tightening the skin. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, over 68,000 facelifts were performed in the U.S. last year, a testament to the enduring popularity of this procedure.

Brow Lifts & Blepharoplasty: A Perfect Pairing
Aging around the eyes and forehead can sometimes be overlooked, but brow lifts and blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) are key components of a complete facial rejuvenation. Performing a perfect facelift on a patient but not addressing droopy brows or baggy eyes will leave the patient unbalanced. A brow lift smooths the forehead and lifts drooping brows, while blepharoplasty removes excess skin and fat from the eyelids, reducing puffiness and improving the eye area’s appearance. When combined with a facelift, these procedures can create a balanced, youthful look.

Chin Implants: Subtle Enhancement for Stronger Results
Chin augmentation is another growing trend that complements facial rejuvenation procedures. With two exceptions, our policy is never to mention a body part to a patient unless they voice a concern first. These exceptions are mentioning correction of a weak chin to patients requesting a facelift/neck liposuction or a rhinoplasty. It is totally fine if the patient chooses not to have a chin implant in these situations, but we want them to be aware that a balanced profile cannot be achieved without bringing the chin into a normal range. A well-proportioned chin can enhance facial harmony, especially when combined with a facelift or rhinoplasty. Chin implants can help define the jawline, adding to the overall aesthetic and improving balance.

With the right combination of procedures, modern facial rejuvenation can deliver comprehensive, natural results. Whether you’re considering a facelift, brow lift, blepharoplasty, or chin implant, our practice is here to help you explore the best options to meet your goals.

This patient in her early 50’s, who was unaware that she had a weak chin, sought consultation for facial rejuvenation. After a thorough discussion of anatomical features and surgical options, she chose to undergo a facelift procedure with an upper eyelid blepharoplasty, in conjunction with insertion of small chin implant to give her not only a rejuvenated look but also a balanced profile. Procedure performed by Juris Bunkis, MD, FACS.

We want you to feel as good as you look. We are currently offering free bioidentical hormone pelleting at the time of each facelift– to allow patients to feel as good as they look after surgery!
