Patient information: Female in her mid 50s presented six months after a breast reduction performed elsewhere. She had suffered infection and tissue loss and was left with deformed breasts. She received a breast reduction revision with nipple areolar reconstruction to give her this pleasing result. Patient information: Female in her 20s presented with asymmetrical and deformed breasts following an operation during childhood which left her with a scar on the right side of her breast/chest and caused the nipple areolar complex to be distorted laterally as she grew up. She received a horizontal mastopexy on the right side and a breast reduction on the left side to give her this satisfactory result. Procedure performed by Dr. Juris Bunkis, FACS.
Patient information: Female in her late 30s and mother of four presented abdominal wall laxity and protrusion, breast ptosis (drooping) and large areolae. She received an inverted T mastopexy to lift her breasts and reduce the size of her areolae, a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and a 700 cc liposuction of her love handle areas (flanks) to give her this rejuvenating result. Procedure performed by Dr. Juris Bunkis, FACS.
Patient information: Female in her 40s presented with rock hard and deformed breasts 20 years after breast augmentation. She received bilateral capsulectomies and moved her implants from the subglandular to the subpectoral spaces to achieve this natural result with soft breasts. Procedure performed by Dr. Juris Bunkis, FACS.
Patient information: Female in her mid 60s presented with severe capsular contractures 25 years after insertion of silicone breast implants. Her breasts were now rock hard and painful and she was “now over them”. A breast lift was discussed but Dr. Bunkis explained that it was impossible in advance to predict how much the skin would shrink and that it was best to first remove the implants and to do the lift later if it was desirable to do so. The patient concurred and she received a capsulectomy and removed her implants. A year later, her skin had retracted and she was quite pleased with her result and did not require a breast lift. She was much smaller than before the implant removal and had to buy some new clothes but was very happy with the results because her breasts now felt natural and did not hurt. Procedure performed by Dr. Juris Bunkis, FACS.
