“I am only 40 but have a full neck. I saw a plastic surgeon in Newport Beach who told me I needed a facelift – is that my best option?”

Tina H, Laguna Beach

We would have to see your photos or during a consultation to tell you what your best option would be. I have seen people in their late 30’s who have lost a lot of weight and their necks sagged to the point where a facelift would be beneficial. But someone in their early to mid-40’s usually still has fairly good skin tone and if your main issue is some neck fat, usually you can get a fairly good correction with a fairly simple neck liposuction. If you have any specific questions about cosmetic procedures, your best bet would be to see a qualified plastic surgeon to review your options.
